About six months ago I thought to myself "Hayner, you need more adventure." But not like...Normal run of the mill adventure. I wanted to partake in something that few on this earth do, see something with my own eyes that not a lot of people have the opportunity to see. So I thought "What if I go see the Iditarod?"
You know the Iditarod, don't you?
They call it "The Last Great Race." Sleds, pulled by dogs, race over 1000 miles over the course of 10 days. I want to be there in Nome, Alaska when it all ends in 2010. There are many travel packages that include learning how to run a dog sled, lodging, food, transportation to eskimo villages, etc. I want to disappear to Alaska for a few weeks and experience the Last Great Race. And I think I'm going to.I'll keep you updated.
